Inspired by the book “To Kill the Irishman: The War That Crippled the Mafia” by the author Rick Porrello, the film “Kill the Irishman” presents the rise and fall of Danny Greene, a union leader’s corrupt dockworkers in the port, who turned into Mafia bully and has gained the reputation of the man who cannot be killed after he escaped unscathed from no less than eight assassination attempts, prepared by Italian Mafia’s boss in Cleveland – James “Jack” Licavoli.

In the summer of 1976, in downtown Cleveland were detonated 36 bombs and a war broke out for power and territory between Italian Mafia and Irish Danny Greene, who has teamed up with mobster John Nardi against money lenders and the nightclub owner Shonda Birns. Joe befriending police Manditski and categorically refusing to execute orders from the Mafia leaderfor working, the invincible Irishman Danny Greene became a legend in the world of organized crime in Ohio, and his actions were ultimately result in collapse of trade unions from all over the U.S. mafia.

Kill the Irishman is an Irish ballad, punctuated by the sounds of bagpipes which complete an atmosphere that involves the viewer.
